Shopping for Bedding
So, where do you start when shopping for your bed linens?
A comforter.
This becomes the focal point of your bedroom just because your eye is automatically drawn to it, so you want the nicest that you can get. After all, your comforter is an essential part of a great night's sleep.

A duvet cover.

3 sets of sheets per bed.
Rotating these will help your bed linen last a lot longer. One set on the bed, while one is being laundered, and the last set is in your linen closet. Generally, look for thread counts of 200 or higher for the best in durability and softness. A bed skirt.
Covers your bed down to the floor so you don't see the mattress. Easily matched or coordinated with your sheets.
1 or 2 mattress pads.
Protects your bed and mattress.
2 to 4 pillowcases per pillow.
These will probably wear out a bit faster than the rest of your bed linen, and will be washed more often, so it will help to have a couple extra.
A couple of blankets.

A bedspread if you don't use a comforter.
